Who is the Ideal Candidate?

Ideal candidates for scarless breast reduction by tumescent liposuction are women who post-menopausal.

Young women, who continue to have menstrual cycles, have breasts that are largely composed of glandular breast tissue.  Glandular breast tissue is not easily by removed by liposuction.

The breasts of women who are post-menopausal are largely composed of fat. After menopause, a woman’s estrogen levels decrease. After menopause the breast’s glandular component shrinks dramatically and is replaced by fat.
